Our fleet

UKSA invests heavily in the quality and diversity of our training fleet, equipment and facilities as part of our commitment to remain at the forefront of delivery in all aspects of our work. This continued focus on investment for excellence provides a quality of service and value for money that's second to none.

Yachts and motor yachts

We believe it is essential to give our students the broadest possible range of experiences at sea. Our diverse fleet of 18 yachts and motor yachts has been carefully chosen to achieve this aim and we are confident that no other establishment comes close to matching UKSA in this respect.

The three Sweden yachts are top-quality vessels, chosen to give students experience of sailing and handling the high class build quality and standards which are commonly found on super yachts. Our Broadblue 38 catamaran provides valuable multi-hull handling experience.

At the smaller end of the scale, we imported our three Colgate 26 keelboats directly from the USA, where they were designed specifically as an instructional boat for learning handling skills. They are an ideal platform for tackling your first solo command.

For motor yachting, we make use of Marlin, a Fairline Phantom 38 and The Hatherleigh, a 115ft corporate charter vessel which we charter in on Motor Yacht Career Training programmes.
