This is a course in astro navigation and world-wide meteorology. Subject areas include PZX triangles, practical sextant work, sight reduction, compass checking, satellite navigation and passage planning.
Pre-requisite experience:
Hold a Yachtmaster Offshore Theory Certificate of Competence.

6 Days
Training towards:
Chief Mate (Yachts less than 3000gt)
Examination and assessment:
The course is examined by a two hour written assessment.
