MCA Officer of the Watch training is a modular programme consisting of several different training modules which have to be completed within required MCA time scales. Master 500gt pre-requisites
- Have a minimum of 12 months Onboard Yacht Service as a Deck Officer, including not less than 120 days Watchkeeping Service, in vessels of 15 metres or over in loadline length whilst holding an accepted Officer of the Watch (Yachts less than 3000gt) Certificate of Competency
- Have fully met the education and training requirements for issue of the MCA Chief Mate (Yachts less than 3000gt) Certificate of Competency
