Course information

The module will give the candidate a basic knowledge of first aid at sea, together with the confidence that will allow them to deal safely with any situation with which they may be faced. The course contains both theoretical and practical elements.

Examination and assessment

There is a written examination evaluated externally.

Validity

Medical certification is valid for 5 years.

Pre-entry requirements

Candidates must be 18 years old or above and will need to provide proof of identity and 6 months at sea.
