Personal Watercraft –
RYA PWC Instructor Course
Qualify to work as a personal watercraft instructor on Superyachts. The Solent is an ideal location to train to become a qualified PWC instructor, with dedicated jet ski areas and great places to visit.
This course is tailored for superyacht charter industry professionals and is developed in consultation with the Professional Yachtsmen's Association. A superyacht can be recognised as a RYA PWC Training Centre, allowing guests to use personal watercraft safely for the duration of the charter. All Mediterranean maritime administrations require jet ski operators to have a certificate and as such a superyacht carrying jet skis must employ a PWC instructor.
This course combines practical experience with theory, covering teaching techniques and learning styles, powerboat handling and teaching, carrying out the orientation exercise and the use of a powerboat in a teaching environment. The first day covers the RYA PWC Certificate of Proficiency.
