The MSSC is currently seeking to appoint a Cook for the square rigged brig TS ROYALIST based in Gosport. TS ROYALIST undertakes 6 day voyages with 24 Cadets and up 9 adults onboard around the UK. There are occasional deployments further afield when the ship participates in the Tall Ships' Races. Applicants should have the requisite experience and ability to cook at sea to provide meals for the embarked crew from a small galley, together with ordering and management of victualling stores. The ability to work effectively with permanent and relief crew members and young people is essential. There are opportunities for prospective staff to undertake sea time in the vessel. The successful applicant will be required to become/remain a uniformed member of the Sea Cadet Corps and will be responsible to the Offshore Commander.

They require candidates who have some experience, to come out as crew. Delivery company looking to create a database of good crew who they can call on to help in the delivery part of their business. They have just undergone an extensive re-fit and conversion for charter work and are now in Nassau, where they will remain. The operation has been running for approximately a month and now that they are getting busy they need some more skippers. They require candidates who have extensive big boat racing and chartering experience, to come out as skippers, that would have the ability to possibly move into an operations manager role a few months down the road. They are definitely looking to keep them on for the long-term but need to ensure that they find the right people and the right dynamic. A 39m Feadship that is both private and charter is currently looking for a Stew/deckhand with a SCUBA Instructor ticket to join their crew of 8, which consists of Kiwis, Australians and Spanish. The person will need to be very well presented and have a good personality. The yacht is currently in Tahiti. Medical insurance, 6 weeks annual leave paid holidays and emergency dental is covered by the yacht. Crewmember will need to commit to the boat for 12 months at least as the owner likes the crew to offer longevity. Person must like working in side as well. Have good eye to detail within the interior, be able to do laundry and some services skills would be a bonus. Candidate must be fresh, fun and full of energy. NON SMOKER. 27m Motor Yacht requires a steward/ess and deckhand. Due to the cabin arrangements it would suit a couple or same sex. Caribbean this winter. The stew ideally would have some hospitality experience and must be a hard working individual. STCW95 would be great. Initially this is a seasonal role starting October/November through to April and we will be offering the industry rates for US waters paid in dollars. The yacht is mainly private but will be chartering over there. Crew of four. |
