Spend the summer sailing two of the last of the legendry Brixham Sailing Trawlers in some of the UK s most spectacular cruising grounds. We require cooks for our 2 largest vessels Leader (built 1892) and Provident (built 1924).


Trinity Sailing provides adventure sailing holidays and youth development voyages aboard our fleet of traditional sailing vessels. This year we will be operating from the West Coast of Scotland and the South Coasts of Devon and Cornwall with trips to the Scilly Isles, Brittany and the Channel Islands. The boats operate a six night voyage during this time you will visit a mixture of bustling ports and quiet and remote anchorages.


The Cook will work in a team with three or four other full time staff on board. During cruising holidays you will be responsible for all meals on board Breakfast Lunch and Dinner plus afternoon tea for up to 19 people. During Sail Training voyages you will be responsible for supervising young people in the galley. Other duties include, control of food stocks, weekly food order and ensuring the vessel is clean and tidy.


During turn around you will ensure all the bunks are made up and the vessel is cleaned and fresh provisions are loaded and stored.





No sailing experience is required but as you will be required to cook at sea an understanding of this would be an advantage. Excellent team skills and “can do” attitude is essential. The potential exists for a cook interested in sailing to make the transition to a sailing role in the future.

To run one week and two week cruises, mainly around the Cyclades and Sporades on yachts of around 50 feet. The cruises will be a mixture of private charters and mixed groups, the latter following set itineraries, who may wish to take part in sailing the yacht.
You will be responsible for all aspects of the operation and maintenance of the yacht, including provisioning, providing breakfast and lunch, organizing laundry, cleaning and undertaking any necessary repairs and routine servicing. You will be used to operating with minimal shore side support where the management of the wider aspects of the operation are as important as the sailing. You will be need to deliver the programme to budget and will submit weekly reports to Head Office of all spend.
The Skipper must be minimum RYA Yacht Master with Commercial Endorsement and have previous commercial skippering experience of at least 2000 miles. You will have past experience of skippering yachts of similar size in rough weather. The Cyclades and Sporades can be a challenging sailing areas and the role is not suitable for newly qualified skippers.
The Hostess must have previous crewing experience, and proven catering skills, including the ability to cater whilst underway.
