In search of something else...

UKSA's yachting programmes are a great way to revitalise your love of life and get back in touch with what makes you tick.

A large number of our students come from other industries, are in their late 20's to mid 40's and are choosing to retrain in yachting with a view to finding employment which pays well, and which they enjoy doing. Equally, young people seeking a rewarding career path in which they can quickly move to responsible and senior positions are increasingly looking to the excellent opportunities available in the maritime industry.

A growing number of students train for non-career purposes because their future plans require a high level of proficiency and confidence in yachting. Some have taken early retirement and are planning to realise a lifetime's ambition by sailing off into the sunset, while others choose a year out in the yachting industry as a sabbatical. For all these people, UKSA provides comprehensive training, building knowledge and self-sufficiency afloat, to make their dreams a reality.

Whatever your existing experience

Some people come to us with little experience, others have many thousands of miles and many years experience. Whatever your current ability, our course advisers will provide you with sound training and careers advice tailored to your circumstances.
