Course Overview

This course is designed for people with a good racing background looking to further their skills. As well as developing skills on the boat, there is increased focus on campaign planning and boat preparation. This course is particularly designed for people who want to start running their own race campaigns.

This course covers all aspects of racing a keelboat including planning the campaign and preparing the boat and crew, as well as developing higher level skills on the water.

• Leadership/teamwork/decision making
• Roles and responsibilities within the team, both on and off the water
• Boat maintenance (ropes, sails, winches)
• Campaign management (race entries, safety regulations, planning/preparation)
• Personal preparation (fitness and nutrition)
• Sail trim
• Tactics / rules

NB: At Certain times throughout the year the Sunday Morning on every weekend of the course will be spent taking part in a race series run in the Solent. Please call us for more information
