Pre-requisite experience
You should have a reasonable understanding of racing, the positions on board and the basic manoeuvres.
Course Overview
This course is designed for people with a small amount of racing experience or as a progression from the Introduction to Racing Course. The emphasis is on developing knowledge of the various different types of manoeuvres and on maximising boat performance through sail trim, helming and weight distribution.
Benefits
Teamwork and crew roles remain a major focus, but this is developed to include a wider range of manoeuvres and situations on the race course. There is an increased focus on maximising boat speed through sail trim, rig tuning and weight distribution. In addition, off the water elements are included such as boat preparation, campaign management and personal preparation.

- Starting tactics and procedures

- RYA Performance sailing
- RYA Intermediate Racing
NB: At Certain times throughout the year the Sunday Morning on every weekend of the course will be spent taking part in a race series run in the Solent. Please call us for more information
