The Academy Explorer is the ideal programme for those wanting to increase the breadth of their sailing knowledge. A chance to learn a confident and safe approach to planning and executing short cruises in open boats, while building self reliance and decision making skills at sea.

• Boat handling in strong winds
• Interpretation of charts
• Use of navigational instruments including GPS
• Passage planning skills
• Practical meteorology
• Advanced sailing techniques and manoeuvres
