RYA PRACTICAL SAIL CRUISING COURSES

You need to have spent 15 days aboard a yacht of which 2 days should be as the skipper, have sailed 300 miles including 8 night hours

RYA PRACTICAL MOTOR CRUISING COURSES
YOUR KNOWLEDGE RECOMMENDED COURSE PRE-REQUISITE EXPERIENCE
I have very little experience on a motor yacht and would like to be able to learn how to handle the boat safely RYA Helmsman

I have a basic knowledge of boat handling and would love to learn about navigation and have the confidence to do more complicated manoeuvres RYA Day Skipper practical

4 days or 2 weekends
At least 2 days previous experience on a motor cruiser
I can skipper a motor cruiser in familiar waters by day, including navigation and pilotage. I would like to gain skippering confidence and additional expertise (both day and night) RYA Coastal Skipper practical course

RYA Coastal Skipper shore-based course completion, plus 15 days at sea, 2 days as skipper, 300 miles, 8 night hours
