RYA Yachtmaster (Coastal) Practical Exam (Sail)
Exam overvew
This is the first Certificate of Competence in the RYA scheme. The examiner will set tasks to enable you to demonstrate your ability as a Coastal Skipper and may also ask questions on any part of the syllabus for all practical and shore-based courses up to Coastal Skipper.

Duration:
Successful completion of RYA Coastal Skipper practical course, or 800 miles at sea (within 10 years of exam), including 30 days living onboard, 12 night hours and 2 days as skipper. All candidates need a valid First Aid certificate and a VHF Short Range Radio Certificate.
