Training Camps
WHAT ARE THEY?

All applicants who make it through pre-selection will attend the GBR Yacht Racing Academy’s training camp and become part of the race crews who will sail and compete on board Bear of Britain and Chernikeeff 2 throughout the season. Successful candidates will receive international level guidance and training from top level professional sailors working with the boats.

Expect to be put through your paces during the camp, there is a lot to learn! Taking part in the Academy is one of the best ways to start any future yacht racing career. Crew members from previous years have gone on to compete in the Volvo Ocean Race and other prestigious racing events.
