Kayaking

As an instructor training centre UKSA can offer a wide range of kayaking and canoeing experiances and qualifications.

Kayaking Is one of the fastest growing watersports and youngsters gaina sense of freedom as well as acheivment. Ths Shallow draft of the kayaks allows for exploring and discovery of the shore line enviorment.

Sit on tops

Their directional stability and multi-person ability makes them Ideal for entry level sessions for young people. Games galore, as our instructors take groups on adventure and fun. Instructors can focus on paddle skills through a range of games.

Canoes

Often refered to Canadian canoes these craft can be used in a multitude of ways. We can strap them together to make a stable platform to use when the water is cold or for the less able.

Playboats

This smaller modern style of kayak offers a more challenging expeiriance and our ideally suited for the more experienced paddler. They are often used in fun try out sessions to give youngsters a chance to see what can be achieved with a little practise. More experianced kayakers can use these craft to go surfing on the west coast of the Island.

Sea Kayaks

Our new fleet of seven Sea Kayaks opens up the coastlines and esturies of the Isle of Wight. This exciting option is ideal for those wishing to train and learn a range of skills to allow them to go further and further offshore and greater distances. This can lead to camping and expedition work. Our fully qualified instructors will take you step by step in this exciting addition.
